The two actors are Tasha Smith who plays Carol Hardaway and Morocco Omari who plays Tariq Cousins on the TV series. Smith is well known for her role in Why Did I Get Married and Why Did I Get Married Too where she plays Angela Williams, the loud and most talkative woman.

The duo is set to facilitate acting and women empowerment workshops at Stanbic Bank Piazza from May 11-12.

“This is an arts empowerment workshop platform that we have planned for the local art industry players be it actors, script writers, models directors and dancers. There will be a number of art empowerment issues and activities discussed during this period,” stated Tshepiso Maruping the founder of Dance Alive Club, the organisation bringing the American actors.

With a long spell within the Hollywood circles, Smith has established her own acting school. This will be a benefit to local actors as she will use her expertise to impart knowledge.

Maruping stated that these workshops will be beneficial to students from multicreative schools.

Apart from acting, Smith will also facilitate a women empowerment workshop that will focus mainly on women entrepreneurs. This workshop will also be followed by a cocktail dinner that will be graced by the two Hollywood actors.

Dance Alive Club has previously brought Hollywood acts such as Breyl Evans, Reyna Joy Banks and Amber Baker and they facilitated a number of art related workshops in the country last year.

Tickets for this workshop are already up for sale at webtickets and Spar outlets.
