Rollers deny link to Celtic coach

The South African media early this week said Rollers were interested in signing the Lesotho-born coach.
According to South African newspaper, The Citizen, Rollers have constantly been in touch with Seema’s representatives ‘asking if he would be interested in joining them’.
However, yesterday Popa president Jagdish Shah strongly denied talk that the team is interested in bringing Seema on board.
“There is nothing, there is no truth in that at all. We are not even talking to anybody at the moment. We do not know what will happen. The league has stopped and we have sent everyone home until a certain time,” Shah said yesterday. “We are just waiting for a decision by the league. At this point in time we are not making any decision on the coach and the team.” Seema is also reportedly on the radar of his native country, Lesotho, for the national team’s job. For some weeks there have been widespread reports that Township Rollers might not give their Scottish coach Frank Nuttall a new long-term contract.
Nuttall signed a six-month contract with the club in January with a view of signing a long-term deal depending on the performance of the club.
However, the coach has found the going tough since arriving at Popa. His loss in the final of the Mascom Top 8 cup, the most prestigious competition in the country, was said to be a key factor in sealing his fate.
Just last week the team struggled in the FA Cup last 16 tie against lowly-ranked Sua Flamingoes. Popa edged their opponents 1-0. After the match some observers were of the view that it was inevitable that Nuttall’s contract will not be renewed.
