The Argentinean coach, who arrived in Botswana in January, said: “We are happy with the win. We play excellent football, nice and easy passes. Galaxy scored by accident. We have a great technique and hardworking players. We play football while others play soccer.

“For the remaining games, we are giving a chance to young talent and we will be fighting for the championship next season.” GU have had a lacklustre season which saw them shuffle their technical team twice, first parting ways with Rahman Gumbo before showing Drago Stanlojovic and Oris Radipotsane the door. They are out of the title race and failed to defend their Top 8 trophy.

On Saturday, GU prevailed through strikes from Ghanaian, Goodwin Asei Bonsu, and regular scorer, Benson Shilongo while Galaxy’s consolation goal came from Kagiso Molapi.

Galaxy coach, Philani Mabhena said his team had created chances particularly in the first half but, “we lost it in the second half where we gave away soft goals.”

“We didn’t defend well and we were punished. We were playing against an experienced team for which we are fighting for the same position, but we will correct our mistakes in the remaining three matches.”

Mabhena had to face angry Galaxy fans and had to be whisked to the dressing room.  Galaxy have done well in their debut season and sit sixth.
