Super Saturday

Mmegi Sport has dubbed the big clash, the ‘El Case-co’ due to numerous protests involving the two teams.

The Zebras are on the verge of making history as qualification to the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations will be the reward for beating the often stubborn Banyana Banyana in the two-legged encounter. They will be keen to emulate their male counterparts, who made it to the Africa Cup of Nations finals in 2012.

The return leg is in Tembisa, South Africa on Tuesday. Winners make it through to the finals which Cameroon hosts in November and December this year.

Later tomorrow, Rollers will effectively seal this season’s title if they beat Chiefs in a blood and thunder encounter. Victory for Rollers will see the former champions pull seven points clear with just three matches remaining.

But a Chiefs win will ensure the defending champions claw their way into contention and slash Rollers’ advantage at the top to just one point, blasting the race wide open.

The unending protests between the two sides over the registration of Ofentse Nato and Terrence Mandaza has been the fuel needed to torch an already fierce rivalry.
