The exhibition will showcase the works by the two talented artists, whose work gives emphasis to the natural beauty of Botswana.

Maaramele is a renowned print artist, who started practicing art in 1994.

The artist specialises in painting and print making using lino plastic. Maaramele, who is not a stranger to art lovers, has won several awards, which include Thapong Print Making Artist of the Year in 2012, and the National Art Exhibition in 2009. Maaramele has had a number of exhibitions both in Botswana and other parts of the world, which include Namibia, Kenya, New Mexico, United States of America (USA) and the United Kingdom.

Maaramele is one of the leading San artists in the country. Lourenco’s work deals more with feelings that define the local landscape, and finds a way of creating a dialogue within each piece.

“This collaboration shows the work of two artists whose subject matter is our indigenous world. All aspects great and small.

We hope you recognise the parts you love best, places, spaces and the beings,” a statement from Thapong Visual Arts Centre stated.
