The committee chairperson, Sam Keitireng told Mmegi Sport they decided to postpone the matter following the crisis at BPL that saw its chairperson, Walter Kgabung and chief executive officer, Bennett Mamelodi suspended.  Keitireng said the situation has affected them and they could not proceed with the case.

But committee secretary, Sydney Magagane offered a different explanation, saying the matter was postponed after Lesirane and Black Rangers were not served with match sheets they had requested. He said the two were expected to be provided with the documents by yesterday.

Magagane said they want to make sure that the case is finalised quickly to enable the concerned parties to focus on the league. Magagane said they want the matter to continue next week Tuesday.

Boys chairperson, Lenamile Letsogile said they in fact learnt from Keitireng that the matter could not continue because of developments at the BPL. He said Keitireng had informed them that the offices were locked.

“I do not think the Premier League can affect us because the venue that we used last week belongs to the Botswana Football Association (BFA).  The delay of this matter is affecting us. Our players are not concentrating because they want to know the outcome. We are not able to plan properly,” he said.

Lesirane and Rangers are protesting against the fielding of Omphile Sebolai who was on successive yellow cards. The applicants argue the player should have been on suspension when Boys played against them.  Rangers want three points and two goals.

Meanwhile, the league continues this weekend after the holiday break.
