Although there is no official confirmation, sources at the Mass Media Complex say their boss was on Tuesday told not to come to work on Wednesday. It is not clear who told him not to come to work.
Government spokesperson Jeff Ramsay would not confirm or deny the reports of his colleague’s departure. “I have been receiving calls from people enquiring on the same, but I am not aware,” he said. Reached for comment, Kaboeamodimo denied the reports that he is leaving
the civil service.
“No Sir, I have not parted ways with government,” was Kaboeamodimo’s brief response to our sms enquiry. Other reports were that Kaboeamodimo has been re-deployed to another ministry.
Kaboeamodimo heads the Broadcasting services department, which includes Botswana Television, Radio Botswana 1 and 2 as well as Daily News and Kutlwano publications.
