Notwane have 22 points from 16 matches and Wire Kaelo is the man tasked with bringing back the elusive glory days.

He told Mmegi Sport yesterday that training has not been easy this week due to rain.

He said despite that, his players are ready for the encounter. He said they intend to work hard to ensure that they collect maximum points on the day.

Notwane are chasing only their first win since the second round began.

“We have been getting draws and hence failure to progress on the log.  We are in a bad position and we should change that in the remaining matches. But I foresee us ending the league in position four,” he said.

Kaelo said being relegated to the Premiership brought panic to the team as it was the first time in their history.

He said players started wondering how they would survive in the First Division and that was a big transition.  He said players had told themselves that they would be going back to the Premier League immediately.

He said their first task was to adapt to the First Division environment but that has been difficult for some players.

Kaelo said Notwane lost some key players after their relegation.

He said it took longer than they thought for new players and a new coach to gel with the rest of the team. “I found an imbalanced team. I had to recruit players as a way of increasing depth. I am now able to replace players when they are not available for selection,” he said. Kaelo said it is not good to put players under pressure, but they should be allowed to do their best on the ground. Notwane’s next assignment after Letlapeng is against rejuvenated Rolling Boys.

In the only other match tomorrow, Black Forest face Black Rangers in Mmankgodi in another re-arranged fixture.

The rest of the programme resumes next weekend. Meanwhile, Boys have denied receiving protest letters from Lesirane and Rangers. Boys’ spokesperson, Tshiamo Marekwa told Mmegi Sport yesterday that the league committee has not communicated with them regarding the matter.

He said they are still in the dark about protests against their player. The league chairperson, Sam Keitireng had earlier informed Mmegi Sport that the protests were to be dealt with yesterday.
