Despite starting late, the ‘People’s Festival’ as the organiser calls it, picked pace after local artist Sis-Flo took to the stage.

Sis-Flo performed a song by Donald Botshelo whom she said contributed immensely to her career.

Her dance moves got revellers on the dance floor while others sang along. Other local artists who performed include Yaya who specialises in traditional music and Black Eye.

Artists such as Tumelo Majika, Matshikos and Peacock warmed the stage for Dalom Kids and the main act Dan Tshanda also did his part, and managed to get the crowd dancing to his songs.

Performers sampled songs from their upcoming albums, much to the delight of their fans. Dalom Kids gave a sterling performance, and left fans screaming for more.

Leader and founder of Splash, Tshanda, performed in the wee hours of Sunday. He continued where others left off, dishing song after song.

He performed alongside Odirile Sento aka Vee wa Mampeezy in one of the songs. The audience responded as if they have not been dancing the whole night.

The organiser of the show, Mogatusi Sebego, said the event went well. He said no violent incidents were reported.

Sebego said Splash fans continue to appreciate how he wants them to behave during shows. He said the security was beefed up to safeguard lives and property.
