Kedikilwe rejoins civil service

 

The OP said President Ian Khama has appointed an eight member Presidential Inspectorate Task Team, whose mandate amongst others is to undertake periodic inspections of Government programmes and projects as shall be directed by Khama.

They will also advice him on matters relating to the successful implementation of Government programmes and projects and undertake risk assessment as well as propose mitigation strategies for programmes and projects that have been inspected.

Kedikilwe and his team will present written summaries of inspection reports to Khama. They will also undertake any other tasks as shall be directed by Khama in line with the monitoring of Government projects. The chair of this team is Kedikilwe and other members include former Cabinet ministers that lost Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) Bulela Ditswe primary elections in 2013 and general elections in October 2014.

They include Peter Siele, Gaotlhaetse Matlhabaphiri and Johnnie Swartz. Others are retired high-ranking government officials such as Newman Kahiya, Mathias Chakalisa, Mapula Modise and Gabolekwe Tlogelang.

“The appointment of this high level team is in line with the Government's unwavering commitment to strengthen oversight on implementation, effective service delivery and improved project delivery countrywide,” reads the statement.
