Ralesotla, who made a switch from GU to Lovers in the mid season transfer window, last hit the net when his former side went down 2-1 to BDF XI on December 5.

The striker, however, found his scoring boots when he curled in a free kick in the 58th minute. “ I had mixed emotions (scoring against Lovers) because that is my team, but we needed points as much as they did we aiming for the top four finish,” Ralesotla said after the game on Saturday. He further said that an injury had immensely contributed to the drought.

He, however, said the goal came as a motivation to him and he is raring to go. “I got injured when I got to GU, this is my second start. The coach has been using me sparingly because of that injury. I have fully recovered and I am starting to enjoy my football again,” he said. Ralesotla took his tally to 13 league goals, a goal behind Township Rollers’ Segolame Boy and Lemponye Tshireletso of Mochudi Centre Chiefs who lead the race for the green boot with 14 goals apiece. “I’m not in the race (for the green boot) this is my first season in the Premiership, I’m satisfied with the goals that I have scored. My aim now is to help the team achieve the intended target, if I finish as the leading goalscorer it will be a bonus,” the 24 year old said. Meanwhile, Boy who has been side lined for some time due an injury returned to field with four goals while Tshireletso was on target as Chiefs narrowly saw-off Miscellaneous 4-3 on Friday.
