Mandaza, Nato documents missing as Satmos protests

BPL chief executive officer, Bennett Mamelodi could not be drawn into commenting on the matter saying it would be inappropriate to do so as Nato’s issue was before the BPL Disciplinary Committee.

Gilport Lions and Mochudi Centre Chiefs lodged a protest with the BPL after Rollers fielded Nato. The two argue the Zebras vice captain was not properly registered when he moved from Indian Premier League side, Atletico de Kolkata, after the closure of the January transfer window.

A ruling on the matter would be passed this evening.

Reports are that the BPL has electronic copies of the missing documents and therefore the matter before the DC would not be affected.

Buglars broke into the BPL offices although they did not make away with any valuables.

An attempt was made at Mamelodi’s house although no arrests have been made.

Meanwhile, Satmos became the latest club to lodge a protest against Rollers after their weekend clash in Francistown. Satmos argue Terrence Mandaza was improperly registered after his move during the midseason transfer window. Mandaza was on target in a 5-0 rout, which left Satmos firmly rooted at the bottom, while Nato did not feature “as a precaution”. Nato was initially included in the travelling side but did not play.

No immediate comment could be obtained from Satmos’ director, Mooketsi ‘China’ Mading as his phone rang unanswered.
