Madimathata is a money matters drama series

The series, which is financial literacy-focused and depicts other money-related problems, aired its first episode recently.
Madimathata spokesperson, Tebo Kumusha told Arts & Culture in an interview that Madimathata is a story-telling drama that is based on true nature of life and modern day reality.
He said it was inspired by the fact that every aspect of life nowadays revolved around money.
“When one doesn’t have money, it’s a problem and if one has money it is a problem again so that’s where the mystery is.
The reality of living life with or without money inspired us to come up with this storyline,” he said.
Kumusha pointed out they were targeting the whole country and nations of the world through the series, adding that Madimathata teaches its audience life huddles.
Even though the drama has already posted one video, the producer said they intended to take on board as many local performers as possible. Currently, the cast has few actors and actresses.
Kumusha further said they see themselves bigger than locality and going international.
He also revealed that they were facing financial problems because of lack of sponsors in their vocation.
The crew also worked on other projects such as Bonny The Poet, The UCM Acapela Band, Madimathata to mention a few. Moreover, Kumusha said they took pride in the fact that they were unique and different in terms of context, content and consistency in their delivery. He urged audience to watch their work since there is more to come.
The first episode of Madimathata was posted on their Facebook page called Madimathata while the second episode will be posted soon.
