The theme, ‘Connecting Ideas, Creating Opportunities’ will run along three sub themes of the economic prosperity in the city, creating innovative ideas, enhancing business linkages and increasing investment opportunities.

Business Botswana regional manager, Kebaabetswe Bogatsu revealed that the two halls were fully booked within the period of two weeks, which shows that people are interested in the event. The Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture has already secured 12 stalls for exhibitions.

Bogatsu said Botswana Telecommunications Corporation Limited (BTCL) chief executive officer, Paul Taylor will officiate at the event.

BTCL is the main sponsor of the event following a three-year contract with Business Botswana to contribute towards the success of the northern trade fair.

Bogatsu indicated that this year’s fair would bring more business closer to each other for purposes of business networking. He said during the day the exhibitors are going to have three different seminars.

“We are going to have a youth and entrepreneurship, investments, innovation and ideas seminars, which entrepreneurs will brainstorm different business ideas to each other,” he said.

On the evening they will have the networking sessions in enhancing interactions with entrepreneurs, parastatals and government.

Bogatsu said they will have a prize giving dinner in collaboration with youth promoters for a musical festival.

He added that the idea behind is to bring vibrancy and promote the northern region artists in order for them to embrace their talent and to be recognised.

Bogatsu said that apart from Taylor, Francistown mayor, Sylvia Muzila and councillors will grace the occasion.

The fair, which is used for business networking and interaction with consumers, has in the past attracted a lot of investors and customers under one roof.
