Leshie Lovesong to stage final performance of Love Letters

This will be the third and final love letter titled ‘Be’. The Love Letters is a series of romantic missives launched last year in which Leshie Lovesong stages musical, theatrical and poetic acts with a theme of love and relationships.
The first letter called Falling, focused on two people falling in love. The second one was titled Breathe and it narrated various events that take place in a relationship.
““Be” is about walking away from everything, coming out of that experience you had been feeling and accepting who you are,” Leshie Lovesong told Showbiz. She stated that this last letter would be filled with a lot of energy as she will also perform a number of new pieces that she has been working on. The performance will include music, poetry and theatrical acts which she says are a surprise.
“The reason why we took time producing ‘Be’ is because we wanted to come out with new and different materials”.
She will be performing with a live band on stage. The show has been co-produced by Tefo Paya and Kabelo Rapinyana.
“It will be made of a forest from wedding gowns,” she said. “These wedding gowns resemble commitment to yourself.”
Leshie Lovesong has been giving out six letter word poems on her social media accounts called the #sixwordstory, which makes one wonder if the poems will be part of the Friday performance. One of the notable six letter poems reads “Pretend your heart is not breaking, sixwordstory”.
This being her last stage performance for the love letters does not mean that Leshie Lovesong will not be staging more performances.
“I will definitely come up with a new stage series that I will be showcasing on stage”.
