Mamelodi said he was awoken by a loud noise at around 3am in his house as people attempted to break-in.

He said the burglars smashed the sitting room window, but were disturbed and fled.“I reported the matter to the police and I will wait for the outcome of the investigation. I will allow investigations to conclude first and see if I can consult relevant authorities about the situation,” Mamelodi said when asked whether he would seek protection.

After the office break-in, there were unconfirmed reports that it could have been the work of some clubs looking for vital information regarding players’ transfers.

The safe was vandalised, but the thieves did not find any money.

Some claims suggest Mamelodi is the target, which is the reason why there was an attempt to break into his house this week.

It is said the administrator now fears for his life, which is why he might consider “the situation around him”.
