Thabiso Boti (Notwane)

It is not surprising that the striker is being linked with a big money move in the next transfer window. Orapa United is said to be interested while his proposed trial in Norway was halted by the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Affectionately known as ‘Musona’ the striker is the typical traditional number nine. He is not the quickest attacker but has power and strength. The 23-year-old right-footer is dominant in the air, while his positioning is one of the best in the league. This was his first season as a regular in the top flight after being with Notwane for four years. He finished with eight goals, just a goal behind the green boot winner.

Comfort Dikupa (Morupule Wanderers)

Despite making his Premier League debut at the prime age of 27, Dikupa has proven to be one of most influential midfielders in the league. He can play in either offensive or deeper roles in the middle of park. He has notched a couple of assists in the league. The afro-styled lanky midfielder, has great vision, comfortable on the ball and is able to control the tempo of his team’s play with great intelligence. He has proven to be irreplaceable in the Wanderers’ squad for this campaign.

Msani Thupa (Gaborone United)

It took just a week’s trial to convince Extension Gunners to sign ‘Shaka’. He arrived without any Premier League experience, but cemented his place as one of the best attackers in the league. He scored six goals for Gunners in the first round, which was enough for giants, Gaborone United to snap him. He has scored once for the Reds in a cup-tie and finished the season with seven goals. The speedy attacker is tipped to be a long term Zebra. He was part of Adel Amrouche’s squad to face Zimbabwe in November, in what was his first national team call up.

Bame Morwalela (Township Rollers)

Questions arose in the January transfer window when Popa signed a relatively unknown attacker from Mahalapye Railway Highlanders. The 20-year-old possesses qualities of a modern dynamic attacker, as he can play in both wings and just behind the main striker. He is quick, comfortable with both feet and possesses great skill. He holds the record of most goals in a single match this season as he scored a quartet in Highlanders 4-1 win over Extension Gunners on November 30, 2019. He has scored once since his move to Popa.

Lone ‘Ross’ Taele (Gilport Lions)

One of players to make their Premier League debuts as teenager this season, Taele has shown glimpses of being a top modern day full back. Having started his career as a left-winger, Ross has fitted as an offensive full back on the left side of Lions’ side. He is a good crosser of the ball, an aggressive attacker with great speed. He could make a move to a bigger club in the next campaign with a number of clubs reportedly interested in the young defender. He has a single Zebras call up, but is yet to make his debut.
