The song is part of his untitled upcoming EP that was initially slated for release in October when he usually hosts the ‘No strings attached festival’.

“The song has been in the pipeline for a long time since I first met Dr Tawanda some years back while I was still Dj Gouveiya’s understudy,” Chabo revealed. He said at the time, Gouveiya was working on a song with Tawanda.

He disclosed that Tawanda took an interest in him while he was still growing in the industry and he was promised a song with the veteran producer in future.

Tawanda is well known locally for his work with Vee Mampeezy and some other local artists. His 2017 collaboration with Vee on ‘Dumalana’ has passed 6million viewers around the globe and is still trending.

“During the extreme social distancing, I decided to call Dr Tawanda and I told him I wanted us to release a song together,” Chabo added.

He said he took advantage of the fact that he had a lot of time to work so when Tawanda agreed to partner with him he made a beat and sent it to Tawanda.

Chabo further said that they worked on the song in the space of a week as they were both working from their inhouse studios.

MBonthebeat is an upcoming producer with a bright future and with proper mentorship he can go far in the music industry.

The song is available on digital platforms only due to the constraints brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic hence they decided not to make any physical copies.

He said the song has been well received attracting a thousand downloads within a week. Chabo said his fans complained about the release date of the song as it came during a time when entertainment festivals were on hold.
