This follows the conferment of the University status by the Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) on June 2, 2015.

The new identity, resonates well with the institution’s name, BA ISAGO which connotes “people of the future” and laying emphasis on its mission to prepare the youths for the future. The identity is truly progressive, dynamic and a symbol of shared ambition, hope, optimism, confidence and commitment to the future.

BA ISAGO is mindful that now and beyond 2016, innovation and entrepreneurship will act as key drivers of the diversification and development of economy.

The identity appeals to a variety of people inspired by the belief that ‘Knowledge Empowers Progress” which resonates well with the new motto of the University “Generate, Preserve and Transmit Knowledge”.  BA ISAGO continuously strives to position itself as an institution of academic excellence seeking to contribute meaningfully to the development of Botswana’s human capital.

 

The Brand Unpacked:

The new identity is a shape of the modern crest with a dual resemblance of a flag and flame. Within the shape of the crest are dynamic shapes that combine to form a vivid focal point where all streams align before expanding into the future. Typography is efficient and modern, reflecting the vision of the institution.

As for the colours, Dark Blue, represents the university’s academic strength as a trusted and dependable academic institution.

Green, represents growth and prosperity, also providing a strong link to the University’s previous brand and resilient legacy.

Bright Green, connotes energy, highlighting the dynamism and vibrancy of the University, while Sky Blue, represents national heritage and pride.

The colour of the sky alludes to the endless opportunities that the university creates through teaching and learning, research and community engagement.
