Phakalane Golf Estate Wedding Fair proves beneficial

Strategically hosted on Valentine’s eve, the expo attracted would-be married couples and they had a chance to meet service providers in one place.

From booking venues to ordering cakes and choosing invitations, the wedding fair gave the brides and grooms-to-be the most inclusive event ever.  Among the exhibitors was a videography company called Phantom Aerial, which provides unique wedding pictures and videos with their drone photography.

The company uses one quadcopter (drone) equipped with a fully integrated camera that shoots videos and photos from above.

The drone pilot, Percy Kgati told Showbiz that the drone photography is the best way to capture wedding ceremonies.

“Wedding photography is now reaching new heights so we capture weddings from a unique perspective,” he said.

Décor service providers included MG and NM Hire and Agents, The Florist, Live O Live Décor, and TNT Horizon. 

They provided decoration like table flowers, pocket flowers and wrist flowers.  Wedding planning companies included White Ribbon Events, White Lace, Events Décor and Dolly Events and Decor. 

Celebration Cakes and Events offered cakes and wedding gowns while Vanilla Cakes strictly provided cakes for any event. Soon-to-be brides had a chance to glance at wedding gowns thanks to the services of Thorium Wedding World.

The company specialises in all wedding attires from suits, gowns to wedding accessories.  Malaika Jewellery showcased their jewellery collection from rings to neckpieces.

Essentials Beauty Spa and Sunrays Beauty Spa provided all the beauty treatment including pedicure, manicure, body scrub and paraffin wax treatment.

Phakalane Golf Estate sales and marketing manager, Tsitsi Chipando, said they host the event annually as a one-stop shop for their customers.

“Planning a wedding is not easy so we give people a chance to book everything at once,” she said.  Chipando said the wedding fair also gives small businesses a chance to take their services to the people.

“We support and expose them to potential customers.  It doesn’t stop at that, we also recommend them in the future incase someone comes to us looking for the services they provide,” she said.  She added Phakalane Golf Estate only offers the venue for weddings and provides food and drinks so it was relevant to bring other services to their customers.

Chipando added that the fair gets better every year and people are now booking in advance.
