“Look, we are under pressure. Us, Mochudi Centre Chiefs, Orapa United and even BDF XI are sneaking in.

We are all under pressure and nobody can say they do not feel the pressure. We conducted ourselves well and collected three points and three goals,” Harrison said after their match on Sunday. The goal from Galagwe Moyana and a brace by second half substitute, Sekhana Koko propelled Rollers to the summit of the log. Harrison praised Koko for his performance after coming on in the 62nd minute and grabbing a brace. “He gave us some inspiration. He has quality on the ball. We introduced him to give us a lift and he did that,” he said.

Harrison said the first half was a bit slow since they had planned not to chase the game in the first 20 minutes. He however spoke to his charges at half time and told them to press Lions a little bit harder. “We could have moved the ball a little bit quicker I think. The second half the game fell into a little bit of scrap. We lost shape and started chasing the game which I was not impressed with,” he said. Harrison introduced new signing, Ofentse Nato, towards the end of the game and said his arrival will give the team options. He said his arrival will give them an option of playing solid with three holding midfielders and can also provide options at centre back. “It makes my job a little bit easier in a way although harder in another way,” he said.

Koko, who doubles as one of the assistant coaches, also said there is always pressure especially when other league contenders played before and closed the gap.

He however said it is the pressure that is always expected since fixtures were out before the season started. Koko’s first goal followed a brilliant move by Malawian midfielder, Lawrence Majawa, who released the winger in the box. The speedy attacker turned and twisted a Lions’ defender before slotting the ball past goalkeeper, Lesego Bosekeng.

“That was the final third and as a striker, if you are in the box, you become a king. If you move and the defender does not make a move it is up to him. If you are in that position you take chances and shake him up a bit before you take a shot,” he said.  The victory took Rollers back to the top, replacing Orapa United who slid back to position two.

Two points separate the top two teams. Chiefs retained their third position after their 3-0 victory over Extension Gunners on Saturday night. Tendai Nyumasi scored two goals before Lemponye Tshireletso put the final nail into Gunners’ coffin. Tshireletso is now the leading goal scorer with 13 goals. FC Satmos are still rooted at the bottom of the log with just six points.
