Referees commission chairperson, Lesego Leaketsa said he did not have fixtures for First Division South games as should be the case adding that he was not aware why they were not sent to him. Leaketsa said he is still to find out why other matches were played and where the officials got the information.

“I only have fixtures for First Division North and Premier League. It is my right to be issued with all fixtures every weekend. I do not have to request for them. I am yet to find out what happened on Saturday,” he said.  Notwane chairperson, Philip Tiroyamodimo told Mmegi Sport that initially their game was to be played on Sunday.

He said they received communication from secretary general, Sydney Magagane, on Wednesday informing them that the game was on Saturday. He said they were informed the ground was not available on Sunday.  Upon arrival in Ramotswa, he said they were informed that the match could not proceed because of the absence of referees. “Preparing for a game is expensive and we should not be having this kind of situations. We have received information that the game will be played on Saturday,” he said. Rangers’ secretary general, Tebogo Mmila said the postponement of the game has dented their plans.

He said they spent around P20,000 to travel from Tsabong to Mmankgodi. He suggested that they should be reimbursed because they wasted money. He said it was disappointing to travel such a long distance for nothing.   “We have been told that the game will be played this coming weekend. It is impossible for us to travel unless they meet us halfway and we have it in Jwaneng. Despite that, we will be home waiting for Rolling Boys,” said Mmila.
