The two failed to make it past the initial vetting stage in their bid to contest for the Botswana Football Association (BFA) presidency.

The BFA Elections Committee, headed by Moemedi Letina vetted the duo out.

Sebego and Malesu have now taken their issue up with the Appeals Committee, which is expected to speedily deliver its verdict, with elections fast approaching. The association goes to the polls on August 8, 2020 to elect a new committee.

Otlhogile is a distinguished professor of law. Former Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) chief elections officer, Maoto Maduo, assists him. Another IEC officer, Patricia Mmoloke is also part of the committee, and so is Hilda Modisane who is the CEO of Electoral Commissions of SADC countries.

Former Township Rollers president and veteran administrator, Dickson Gabanakgosi completes the five-member committee.

There are three teams contesting the elections, but the Sebego and Malesu camps were left without a presidential candidate after the vetting process.
