Paul is demanding P400,000 from the BTC Premiership side, as he is challenging unfair retrenchment.

The Under-20 coach could only confirm that he is ready to explore the FIFA route, but he has to exhaust available local remedies first.

“The matter is before the Industrial Court and would be heard on August 17, 2020. If I am not satisfied, I will take the matter to FIFA. I am looking for justice, nothing else,” Paul said.

Notwane hired the coach when the team was in the First Division, and he managed to secure promotion to the elite league.

However, he was then requested to take a 50% pay cut on his two-year fixed term contract. When he turned down the proposal, the club terminated his contract.

Paul said he dealt with club president, Tebogo Sebego who signed his contract.

The court is expected to make a determination on the matter next month.

If Paul takes the matter to FIFA, he would be following what is becoming a well-trodden path.

Gaborone United were forced to fork out nearly P500,000 after Ghanaian player, Bismack Appiah took his unfair dismissal case to FIFA.

Recently, former Mochudi Centre Chiefs coaches, Bongani Mafu and Philani Mabhena were awarded relief of up to a combined P570,000 after taking their cases up with the soccer mother body.
