Located at one of the city’s busiest malls, Riverwalk, MKOP brings a new concept of serving all cuisines under one roof, which can ease the burden of moving from one place to another.

MKOP, which opened its doors over the weekend, has a lounge, fine dining and a bar suitable for queens and king’s looking for exquisite décor.

MKOP Sales and Marketing Manager, Oarabile Baisi says their concept is inspired by the fact most of the eateries in Gaborone do not really cater for corporates.

“We felt that they were left out with limited choices, hence the reason why we decided to come up with this concept, which will cater for people with different tastes, like Italian, Indian, Setswana cuisines just to mention a few.”

“We do have what we call ‘chef special’; everyday we will be promoting our traditional cuisines in Botswana.

On Monday, we have oxtail with papa, while Tuesday beef curry with papa or any starch of your choice, so one can come and grab breakfast, lunch or dinner,” she explains.

The restaurant has a V.I.P lounge, which is strictly by bookings for private meetings or dinners.

Then there is a premier lounge, which can be utilised by anyone anytime either on reservation or without reservation as well as a normal bar and restaurant, which welcomes everyone.

Currently, the restaurant and the bar open at 9am and closes at 10 pm, while the club, which will be open to the public in April, will open from Thursday to Saturday from 10 pm.

“People should come to MKOP because it is the only place that has a bar, lounge as well as a fine dining. We also guarantee the best service because we will be using tablets to place orders, which will automatically show at the counter while the waitress is still assisting,” she added.
