Even though the venue was not big enough, the festival had enough crowds to keep the party going.

Making his first appearance in the local night life scene, Emtee did not want any formal introductions and his Roll Up signature was enough to hurryingly draw everyone towards the stage.

The 23-year-old rapper, whose real name is Mthembeni Ndevu, performed the official remix dubbed Roll Up re-up and it was equally recognisable to the crowd.

With no support from AKA and Wizkid, who are on the remix, Emtee had to tackle all the verses himself.

The Metro FM Music Awards four-time nominee’s African trap music style sent the crowd into a frenzy.

He then performed a song called Pearl Thusi in which he complimented the television and radio personality’s looks and character.

The reaction from the crowd was epic and they say along as he rapped, “She’s the best I don’t see the rest”.

Emtee performed his verse from DJ Citi Lyts’ song Washa, a track that also features Fifi Cooper and B3nchMarQ.

Before jumping off the stage he performed Roll Up two more times to leave no stones unturned.

He told the crowd that whenever he performs, people request for the Roll Up smash hit one more time.

“I am happy to be in Botswana. Some people think I am a new cat, but thanks for appreciating my music. Shout out to Gaborone and thanks for turning it up with me,” he told the crowd.

He also gave a shout out to both South African and Botswana hip hop fans.

Emtee was not only the best part of the night, but Botswana’s talented motswako lyricist Dramaboi got some home love and his performance packed enough punch to get the crowd’s attention.

Dramaboi Wa Makeishane arrived on stage more energetic than ever.  Among his many hits, he performed Mahala and made some breaks to freestyle.

Being a rapper who put more emphasis on his lyrical power, Dramaboi’s lyrics were glued on the revellers lips and he had no choice, but to engage them.

The rapper who has managed to stand out from other vocalists with his special repetitive combinations in his verses then performed another hit Candy.  To seal what was a great performance, his sister Katlego joined him on stage to perform Sala Le Nna.

The siblings’ combination on stage has managed to create a recognisable duet.

Besides Dramaboi and Emtee, DJs like Scratch, T-Man, DJ Saint, DJ Phouboy and DJ Kuchi were on top notch and their sets had everyone on their feet the entire time.
