In an interview with Arts & Culture D-Axis said he approached Amantle Brown and asked her to come up with a unique song. That was when she suggested they make a song that brings both the church and street vibes together. He explained that the decision came after realising that many youngsters are more onto earthly songs and lifestyle therefore forgetting about their creator,‘God.’

“Ledimoni is an Amapiano song that caters for both the church and street vibes. Amapiano is like a dance sub genre of house. When people listen to the genre they will think about dancing and having fun. I approached Amantle Brown and asked her to come up with a unique idea and she came up with a church feel. It is about people who enjoy nice time forgetting about the church. This song aims to bring people to church,” he said.

He said he chose Chrispin because it is a recognised brand locally. He added that Chrispin worked on the production of the song and Amantle Brown on the vocals. D-Axis also explained that the single was his promo prior to the release of his upcoming 23-tracked Amapiano album that will come up on his birthday this year. He said in that album he will work with different artists including Mjamaica, Zeus, and Heartfelt from UK who will sing in Spanish, My Vince from SA and others.

D-Axis also explained that he chose to do 23 songs since he will turn 23 in September. He said all of his songs talk about love and having fun.

D-Axis further said he arranged the album during lockdown so that after the lockdown people could dance and forget about the problems brought by COVID-19.
