Vusi survives car crash

Still faced with a murder case, the silk-voiced musician was involved in a car crash on Sunday morning while travelling from Tsabong to Gaborone.

He told Showbiz that he felt lucky to be alive after the car he and his three friends were travelling in rolled thrice.

'I believe that God still wants me to live because the car was a complete wreckage after it rolled three times.

I had just performed in Tsabong where I was promoting my upcoming coming album and around 05:00am we left for Gaborone. But I believe we all fell asleep and the car just veered off the road and rolled.

I did not see anything, but I just woke up after it all happened and felt a terrible pain in my neck and back bone,' he said.

The three were treated and released the same day, but the youngster said the pain in his neck was still unbearable such that he has been bed-ridden since Sunday.

Meanwhile, his murder case has been transferred to the High Court in Lobatse and while he is still waiting for a trial date to be set, Mtukufa says he is taking every day as it comes.

The youngster stands accused of allegedly killing his girlfriend early this year after the two had a heated argument.

While all this has been happening, the young man has been trying to stay focused on his career and is due to release his latest album.

'I try not to let my problems distract me. It is hard to cope and I am going to adopt the same approach even after this accident.

I am still nursing the injuries, but after this I will have my spirit back and if need be I will go on more promotional tours,' he said.
