EMTEE finally comes to town

The 23-year-old rapper whose real name is Mthembeni Ndevu has been the talk of the town after release of his hit Roll Up last year. 

He comes at a time when his song has been a club banger and even won him the song of the year award at the SA hip-hop awards.

Emtee has even worked with AKA and Wizkid on the Roll Up remix. 

Local hip-hop fans will get the chance to see the youngster in action after only seeing him in music videos on Trace and Channel O.

The Pearl Thusi song maker will be performing alongside Jury (Rustenburg), Dramaboi, DJ Kuchi, Scratch, T-Man, DJ Saint, DJ Phouboy and Casper Tha DJ.

The show organiser DJ Kuchi told Showbiz that the plan to bring Emtee has been long coming. 

“We were delayed by paperwork, but now he is finally going to perform in Botswana for the first time,” he said.  Kuchi said they always bring the freshest artists hence the Roll Up Party.  He said Emtee would be performing in a special stage downstairs.  “We will rearrange the tables to accommodate more people.  We are targeting 400 to 500 people only,” he said.   A single ticket is sold at P80 before 9pm while the double ticket is P120. The show will start at 7pm till late.
