“We have overwhelming support in the north.

Every time we go there people turn up in good numbers and the atmosphere is usually electrifying. People around Gaborone and Molepolole enjoy a lot of football because of the many games played there, so we have figured we should give other supporters football too. They have showed so much passion for the game,” he said.

“Our supporters in the north will welcome this decision. They have travelled a lot in the first round and this is our effort to meet them halfway.

We already have supporters in the far north requesting for the Mascom Top 8 tickets and this also contributed to our decision.”

Pheto said they have made a lot of returns in gate takings in the north compared to the games played in the south. “We encourage our supporters in the north to continue soldiering behind the team so that we reach our target of winning both the league and the Mascom Top 8,” Pheto said.

“It seems the coach (Mark Harrison) also loves playing at the Francistown Sports Complex. He said the facility is of high standard and the pitch is open and perfect and that has also contributed to our decision to take our games to Francistown,” he added.
