According to Love Flour by Thutri owner, Trish Setsetse, her love for pastry landed her into baking. She explained that she loved all kinds of pastry and had initially named her company Rata Bupi. But later rebranded it to Love Flour with the slogan ‘you need it, we knead it.’ She added that her company provides different services such as themed designer cakes and cupcakes, frozen pastries, office functions catering, warm or cold platters and food boxes together with bridal, baby shower, wedding celebrations catering.

“I got a lot inspiration or rather my love for the kitchen from my mother who used to own a catering company. She had so much fun in the kitchen and I fell in love with it and knew that was what I wanted to do when I grow up. After finishing school in 2012, I worked for a while and was not happy working for long hours so I quit my job and started a home business,” she revealed

She explained that she started selling breakfast packages at Fairgrounds office and parking space. Setsetse said she pushed breakfast packages including burgers, wraps, English breakfast and samosas in the offices with her apron written ‘happy housewife’. “I think people noticed me first by the apron because I wasn’t married then and some used to make silly jokes about it,” she proudly elaborated.

Setsetse also said that was how her food got attention and she later started having monthly subscribers for breakfast packages so the clientele grew. She explained that having to make all food from scratch every morning and selling it was extremely satisfying.

But it was also tiring at the same time so she decided to hire two young women to help sell the breakfast packages from office to office.

However, when Setsetse got married in 2015, she said she started looking for cakes quotations and realised that they were expensive. She then decided to make her own cakes and the rest was history. After successfully making her dream cake, Setsetse said she never stopped baking cakes. She revealed that she also went for training to perfect her baking skills.

Setsetse later introduced party packages that also got recognition after she advertised them on different social media platforms.

“We make our foods from the scratch, so their freshness is always guaranteed. We also give the best attention it deserves because at the end of the day the client needs to be happy. We also customise menus, flavours and designs in consultation with our clients. For enquiries or order, we can be contacted on our Facebook page Love Flour by Thuri,” she said.
