Separated by two soundproofed dancefloors, the DJs made it hard for night crawlers to keep up with the pace and the only option was to choose and stick to one dance floor. With multiple lounges, the club allowed everyone to choose their own comfort zone. There was ample seating, which allowed ladies on heels to rest their foot during intervals.

Even though the dress code for the night was smart casual, people found a way to blend in with club girls on their mini shorts and high heels while men wore their jeans and t-shirts. Towards 11 p.m., the legendary DJ Easy B of Monatefela Promotions fame took over the decks at the time when most people were arriving from bars. Though he didn’t boast of a large crowd on the dancefloor, DJ Easy B played some straight-up club jams for night clubbers to party hard. On the basement in the hip hop and R&B dancefloor, DJ Cee was doing his thing for the hipsters. He constantly threw in old school hip hop and R&B and the fans were ecstatic to listen to the music they grew up loving.

When midnight approached, the hip hop dance floor boasted of a larger crowd and DJ PK took over the decks to continue the fun. Full of enthusiasm, the fans knew most of the songs but their reaction to every set elicited a reaction like they were hearing the playlist for the first time.  The b-boys and b-girls in the hip hop dance floor kept their groove on and some acted like no other dance floor existed that night.

As the time for the main performance arrived, DJ Trax amazingly gathered the crowd in the house dancefloor in an instant. Throwing down a dope set for the club bangers, DJ Trax’s songs somehow got people pouring on to the dancefloor. And when it was announced that the legendary DJ Ganyani of house grooves series is next, the excitement started even before he arrived.

The waiting was over and the man who has been spinning discs for more than 20-years took over and the stage came to life. The crowd went wild when they saw the sight of the xigubu hitmaker behind the decks. DJ Ganyani took his passion seriously and his set produced finely tuned mixes. He knew the crowd wanted to hear newest jams so he did his best to service his fans. As the set approached completion, he rocked ‘be there’ which is one of his popular songs from three years ago.

As Ganyani was doing his magic on the house dance floor, Ozzy The Great was keeping everyone happy by giving them the music fix they needed in the hip hop section. His transitions were smooth and when people were getting down to their favourite track, one minute it was another hit. DJ Phouboy was also in the line-up of performers that night. The place was formerly known as Lizard Lounge and it has been moved from Block 6 to Village to attract a classy market.
