Mathe turns to Herbalife for income

Local football was suspended in March following the global outbreak of the COVID-19. The situation has seen a majority of footballers going for almost six months without a steady income.
However, Molepolole City Stars shot stopper has not wasted time, turning to Herbalife Nutrition as an alternative financial stream. The product has employed millions of people around the world and the 27-year-old is already enjoying the benefits from what started two years ago as a fitness enthusiasm journey.
'I joined Herbalife Nutrition in November 2018. As a professional athlete, I am making extra money from Herbalife Nutrition sales. It is part of my income streams. As a testimony, we have not played football since March and we have not been paid because of that, but I have been able to handle my monthly expenses from my Herbalife Nutrition sales.'
'Therefore, I can testify that professional athletes can make a living out of Herbalife Nutrition sales since nutrition is a necessity for every human being to survive. If you can go anywhere around the world, there is always someone looking to lose weight, gain weight or maintain a healthy lifestyle, therefore they show the significance of these products,' Mathe said.
The former Township Rollers and Mochudi Centre Chiefs gloves man, said Herbalife Nutrition, in addition to being a lucrative business opportunity, presents athletes with a nutrition plan that helps in improving performances on the field.
'All we are trying to do at #corporateAthlete is we want to sensitise athletes and teach them about the importance of nutrition and how it improves performance. We also equip them with life skills and how they can create multiple income streams while they are still active. We use Herbalife Nutrition because its model favours the athlete in the sense that they are able to maintain the highest fitness levels and performance at the same time also increasing their cash flow,' he said.
Mathe is one of professional footballers who are using Herbalife, joining famous names such as five-time Ballon d'Or winner, Christiano Ronaldo and former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs striker, Letlhogonolo Majoro.
He revealed that at least 25% of local football players have enrolled for the product.
