Varoyi who will be making his first appearance in the country will be coming to share his expertise with local artists on the do’s and dont’s of make-up.

In an interview with Showbiz, Lit Events Management Events organiser, Game Obuseng, said that the aim of the event is to sensetise the public about the inner and outside beauty as well as highlight that the beauty and make-up industry does not limit artist to becoming a make-up artist for just weddings and parties.

“He will be coming to share with other local artists the tricks of applying make-up in order to stand out and set direction for becoming the next international recognised artist,” she said. Obuseng said he selected Varoyi to be the guest speaker after realising that despite Revlon products being consumed locally, they have not been engaging the community unlike in South Africa.

Other speakers of the day will include Malebogo Marumoagae, who will share her skills on etiquette and personal grooming while Pastor Fatima Ezekiel who will address personal grooming and being beautiful while fearing the Lord.

Varoyi started his career as a make-up artist for Mac cosmetics while persuing a course on Fashion Design at Cape Town Expert Technikon. In just six months while working for Mac, he was chosen to work at SA fashion week as one of the Mac artists.

His results then led him to be chosen among other 150 artists to be one of the top three selected to attend Mac’s advanced make-up training in Las Vegas in 2007. Varoyi’s achievement to date includes being named the first national make-up artist for Revlon in SA.

The list of his clientele includes one of South Africa’s first ladies, Thobeka Zuma, Bonang Matheba and Terry Pheto; and international stars like Richard Branson, Kelly Rowland, Shashi Naidoo. Further, he also worked on SA’s publication’s covers, which includes Drum magazine.
