DJ Ganyani to headline United Lounge Premium launch

The place was formerly known as Lizard Lounge and it has been moved from Block 6 to Village.

United Lounge Premium has two sound-proofed dance floors. The underground floor, which is a whisky bar, is specifically for hip-hop and R&B.

The house, dancehall and electro main dance floor is situated on the ground floor and it is the same place where fans will see the veteran disc spinner in action.

DJ Ganyani hasn’t been in the headlines recently, but he needs no introduction. He has been entertaining house fans with his club DJ Sets for more than 20 years. 

The Xigubu hit maker will not set the house dance floor on fire alone as he will be alongside a local line-up of DJs like Chrispin The Drummer, Ricky Lamar, Nt Base, DJ Easy B, DJ Anthem, DJ Trax, DJ Teaz BW, Tosh, DJ Allen and DJ KSB.  DJ Phouboy, Ozzy The Great, Cee and Kenn will bring down the hip-hop and R&B dance floor. In an interview with Showbiz, the marketing manager for United Lounge Premium Godwin ‘Exotic’ Sebina said they re-branded to switch to a classy market, no wonder they want smart casual only.

“We have super lighting, best service, quality sound, new and magnificent ambiance,” he said.

“We also have red carpets and multiple classy VIP palaces with comfort lounging and good air conditioning.”

He said the upper lounge bar offers drinks at bar prices every weekend. 

Sebina said the place was opened on December 21, 2015, but only a few people are aware.

“We have been engaged in a rigorous marketing exercise, hence the launch,” he added. “We hope more people will start coming in after this event.” The standard ticket is P60 before 11PM and the VIP ticket is sold at P120 and includes a bottle of wine.
