Oozing with confidence, the comic used humour to address issues affecting society.

“Shapela comedy matsogo, 2015 was the year for Zebras, but anyway the best moment for them is when Tshosane was still the coach. That man was unique because he used military formations. Instead of using the 4-4-2 formation, he adopted Shaka Zulu’s cow horn formation”.

The Tshosane joke seemed funny to a number of people except for Diphetego ‘Dipsy’ Selolwane who did not see any humour in it.

He went to roast elderly men who do not want to admit they have aged. “Kana mathaka are always celebrating their 40th birthday every year,” as he said that most of them call themselves Rolihlahla.

He mimicked how they speak to young women in an impression of Nelson Mandela’s Xhosa accent.

The Master as he is affectingly known did not limit his jokes to Botswana as he spoke about regional issues.

“You see African politics is like a TV drama. South Africa is a good example. Zuma and Malema are always singing and acting their ‘Uyadelela’ acts in Parliament and on TV”. He burnt fellow comedians that have sloppy comic skills and slow thinkers who get the joke five minute late. “When you are a sloppy comedian, you never know if people are laughing at you or your jokes”.

While on stage, he interacted with the audience making fun of some of the people there. He went to the extent of asking a woman who covered her mouth, each time she laughed, if she is from Oodi since women from that area tend to do so to hide their brown teeth.

The Mochudi native proved to have grown, as he did not repeat any material from his previous performances.

Comics such as Mawee and Rekunde were his supporting acts.
