The event was graced by fellow musicians including Shanti Lo, Nono Siile, Lloyd of Wizards, Thulie of Maphutha dichaba and Berry Heart.

Giving welcome remarks, Gilbert Keagile also known as PP in the entertainment industry, said Vebrok saw it fit to appreciate and ask for forgiveness from everyone she wronged. “She shocked me. Vebrok is very conscious and she has accommodated a lot of musicians in Johannesburg,” he said. PP said Vebrok felt that people hated her so it was time to make it right. “Vebrok had a clash with Vee after ‘Coming Soon’ went to dance for Vebrok in South Africa. But Vee had accepted the reconciliation,” he said. PP said it was time to let bygones be bygones.

He said Vebrok did not have a good relationship with artistes such as Slizer, Maxy and it’s now all in the past.

For her part, Zenzele Hirschfield of Zen Promotions said she was humbled to have worked with Vebrok along the years. “We have fought, we have made up but we are grateful to have tackled the challenges,” she said. Hirschfield encouraged Vebrok to walk tall and keep rising.

“You have helped us to accept each other as women. We are going to need each other. You are the first woman in this industry to own a production house,” she said. Controversial poet, Berry Heart was the MC at the event and she recited a short poem in honour of Vebrok and her contribution to the music industry.

Now it was time for Vebrok to unveil her new song Oteke featuring David. The two performed the song in front of everyone and it was quite a heartfelt performance and it blended David’s youthfulness and Vebrok’s maturity and huge experience. Having featured in Vee’s song Suffer, David’s contribution to Oteke cannot be underemphasised.
