Rollers Register First Win Of The Year

Rollers had the first attempt at goal in the fourth-minute when Jerome Ramatlhakwane’s cross went begging.
Chouka’s keeper, Segakolodi Ntima was called into action in the 14th minute when he saved Galabgwe Moyana’s long range effort. In the 20th minute, Ntima was caught off guard but Ramatlhakwane was narrowly wide.
Three minutes later, Ramatlhakwana broke the deadlock when Chouka’s defence and Ntima fumbled through a harmless looking situation.
Motlakase nearly equalised in the 32nd minute, but Kabelo Dambe was alert to the danger and Rollers carried their slender lead into the break. There was more energy from both teams after the break, with Motlakase’s Lapologang Motlobi coming close in the 55th minute.
In the 68th minute, Otsile Seanego tucked in a quick cross from Mogakolodi Balatotse to level matters for the home side. Rollers made changes in the 70th minute by throwing in Sekhana Koko for Edwin Moalosi and Joel Mogorosi, in search for a winner. Koko had the final say with a 79th minute strike, which gave Rollers their first win of the year after two draws and a defeat. Chouka threw numbers forward in search for an equaliser, but their efforts were in vain.
Rollers’ coach, Mark Harrison said he was happy that the team managed to bounce back after last weekend’s loss.
“This was not an easy game and we missed several chances, but the important thing is that we got three points.
After last week’s loss, we put the issue to bed and got back to work. We tried not to talk about the team’s internal issues on the field. Hopefully things will settle down,” he said.
Motlakase coach, Oris Radipotsane applauded his boys for playing well. “Chouka is in the danger zone, but that does not put pressure on me.
Afterall, I have players and I believe the team will improve with time. We will work hard to avoid relegation. The boys are promising,” he said.
