Clubs up activity as deadline looms

Township Rollers have re-united with Zimbabwean striker Terrence Mandaza who joins on a one-and-half-year contract. The striker left Rollers after the 2009-2010 season. After setting the league alight with 42 goals in 33 games he had stints in South Africa and Thailand.  Rollers have also signed Malawian attacking midfielder, Gerald Phiri, on loan from South African side BidVest Wits until the end of the season. 

The arrival of the two signings see strikers Jerome Louis and Carl Finnigan released. Finnigan has since announced his retirement from football while Louis who spent two and half seasons at Popa is said to be heading to his native country, Namibia.

 Rollers’ blood rivals Mochudi Centre Chiefs are having a rather quiet transfer window, the club is not as active as expected. Magosi have won the race for the signature of full back Thato Kebue from Motlakase Power Dynamos, the national under-23 captain was also chased by Gaborone United (GU). 

The club also signed attacker Arnold Mampori from Nico United. The Kgatleng side have reportedly sealed a deal for the signature of young goalkeeper Daniel Kedidimetse on a pre-contract from Motlakase.

GU have been the busiest club in the marker thus far, signing former Motlakase captain Botshelo Lorato, Moatlhodi Ralesotla from Green Lovers, Jackson Lesole from Sankoyo Bush Bucks and Koketso Lesokwane from Gabane United. Pako Gaofose has finally signed for Jwaneng Galaxy for a sum said to be around P50,000 from Extension Gunners.  The attacking midfielder was unsettled at the Lobatse-based side.  Galaxy have also secured the signatures of speedy wingers Kelelo Kgosimore and Thero Setsile from Gunners and Bush Bucks respectively. Log leaders Orapa United signed attacker Onkabetse Makgantai from financially limping, Nico United. Veteran striker Kenanao Kgetholitsile has returned to Gilport Lions and marked his return with a goal over the weekend against Chiefs. Lions have also secured the services of full back Joseph Keitseng from Lepatleng.
