Motlakase chairperson, Gaolathe Kelesitse said they were prompted to approach Radipotsane due to their long-standing relationship with him.

“Radipotsane is our former coach. He once helped us reach the Coca Cola Cup Final and we were in the Mascom Top 8 cup.  He also helped bring the team back to the Premiership after it relegated to the First Division,” said Kelesitse.

“We know what he is capable of. We agreed that he helps the team improve technically. There has always been a working relationship between him and Chouka. We have a mutual understanding,” he said. Pule Mogotsi, who had been caretaker coach, has a full time job as a teacher.  Kelesitse said although they do not have any contract with Radipotsane, he has agreed to help the team until the end of the season.

He said they believe the Zebras assistant coach can save the team from relegation.

Radipotsane said he wants to see Motlakase survive regelation, but believes they do not have depth to do well.

He promised to help the team, but said he would not sign a contract with any side as he has a project in his home village, Pilikwe and the Zebras. “I know I am in demand.  Many teams are seeking my services, but I am not ready to join any club now.  Maybe I will decide when I finish my project in April,” Radipotsane said.

Chouka registered only their second win of the season with a 2-0 win over Green Lovers on Friday, but still remain 15th with 14 points from 19 games.
