Nlu was already training with the Peleng giants,  but coach Daniel ‘Chico’ Nare said they failed to meet Orapa’s demands. Orapa United wanted P10,000 for Nlu who was left with four months of his contract with the club  from the mining town.

“We are disappointed because we did not manage to sign Nlu. Orapa indicated that Nlu is left with four months before the expiry of his contract and therefore wanted us to pay them P10,000.

“We could not agree on that one and the player has gone back to Orapa United,” Nare said. But Nare said they will continue to beef up their squad particularly in defence. “I have been talking to a defender and he is coming. We are just about to seal a deal with a player from Kanye United,” Nare said.

The Peleng giants played to a 1-1 draw against second division south side, Kanye United in a friendly encounter before they face league rivals, Gaborone United (GU) tomorrow. Nare said he has another defender from a Premiership club and expected him to report at the club yesterday. Nare, however, could not reveal names.

He said they are working on their fitness. He further said he respects GU since they smarting from a defeat.

“We played a good friendly game because fitness is still a problem. We are trying to get our squad into good fitness levels because we are not yet there.

“We respect GU and we know they will be dangerous as they are coming from a defeat. It will be a good game of football,” Nare said.
