Miscellaneous to launch P250,000 sponsorship

Tsenala, who have enjoyed a good run in the beMOBILE Premiership, signed a sponsorship deal with the insurance giants last year August but the deal was not launched officially.

The sponsorship, covering the 2015/16 season, will be launched during Miscellaneous’ home game against Gaborone United (GU) at the Serowe Sports Complex. There is an option to renew, provided both parties are content with the deal.

Kelly Loeto, Botswana Life’s communications manager, said: “As part of the sponsorship, we have so far provided them with kits and other logistics they need for the games. We are their technical sponsors (and) we do not sponsor them in monetary terms. We will continue providing them with logistics they need until the end of the season.”

Miscellaneous spokesperson, Sefhako Sefhako confirmed the sponsorship launch. He added that the team performance has improved as a result of the sponsorship from Botswana Life.

He said: “They have provided the team with three sets of kits, track suites and other training materials. The players look good because of the new kits as well as tracksuits and when players look good it boosts them psychologically. Even the results are showing that the players have been boosted psychologically.” He also said the technical sponsorship was helpful because the management is now channelling the money they could have spent on kits and other logistical requisites to other financial needs. “I am hopeful that Botswana Life will renew the sponsorship because our partnership has been going well so far,” Sefhako said.

Tsenala, who were promoted to the elite league at the beginning of the season, are fifth with 31 points from 18 games.
