Otse man claims to know killers of missing person

The riots ensued after the man claiming to be a prophet said that he knew that the teenager who went missing earlier this month and found dead days later was killed. It is reported that the man also said he knew who had killed the deceased boy.

Kevin Mookodi, the officer commanding Molepolole, said police detained a man to help them with investigations.

The detained man is reported to have said he knew who had killed the 18-year-old; and the riots started.

The dead teenager went missing on New Year’s Day. Riots started after the residents demanded that the prophet tell them the name of the killer but he failed to do so. Mookodi would not say what charges the prophet would face after completion of investigations.
