“We have an influx of agents coercing our players and these agents choose to ignore the proper procedures.

We have resolved to report the matter to the Players Status Committee. We have just resumed our preparations for the last round of games, but these agents are disturbing our preparations,” Motlakase chairperson, Gaolatlhe Kelesitse said.  “What they are doing behind the scenes has caused a lot of uncertainties in our camp and now we will need to look for replacements.

However, we can reveal that up to now we have only received interest from Gaborone United for two players, Lesedi Botshelo and Thato Kebue,” he added.

The Botswana Premier League chief executive, Bennett Mamelodi said his office does not condone improper recruiting of players and action will be taken against unscrupulous agents.

“It will be premature for us to comment on that because no team has approached us, however FIFA is very clear on the formality of the agents. We will not condone any unscrupulous agents and if brought to our attention we will take necessary action against those violating the Fair Play Rules and Regulations. The transfer of players has to be done in a formal manner as per FIFA Play Rules and Regulations,” Mamelodi warned.

Meanwhile, Kelesitse said Motlakase is revamping. “We are in a process of rebuilding our side from the management to the players.

Some of the people that have assisted us in the technical department in the past have shown interest in coming back to work for the team and they will help us instil the culture of this club. “We also have some of our former players who want to come back.

We have written to Nico United requesting for Allen Ndodole, the former Under 17 and Under 20 player.

He is our youngster and he is very talented. We feel he deserves more game time. We also want our former player Thatayotlhe Gaokgorwe.

We will also look to beef up with two foreign players, a defender and a striker and we have three youngsters joining from the lower leagues,” he said.
