It is an international competition for models aged 20-28 (adult category) and 16-19 (teenage category) and provides a magnificent opportunity for young ambitious women to be identified and applauded for being talented, articulate, fit and healthy.

The World Supermodel was created to find out the next leading world supermodels regardless of their marital status. The competition is eligible to female citizens of Botswana aged between 16 and 28 years old. They are required to be a minimum of 1.7m tall.

The local winner will represent Botswana at the 9th annual production in Bloemfontein, South Africa from March 12-21. The overall winner will receive a one-year modelling contract with Trump Model Management in New York.  The competition has been previously won by Nature Inger on November 29, 2014. She made history when she became the first ever Motswana representative to be crowned the World Supermodel as the overall winner of the World Supermodel Competition. Now the founder of World Supermodel Botswana, Inger is involved in the auditions to find Botswana’s next representatives  at  the World Supermodel Botswana.

In an interview with Showbiz, Inger said they would pay much attention to physical appearance above everything else. “We are also looking for someone who has a good command of the Queen’s language (English),” she said.

Inger said she would be the head judge among a panel of four judges altogether. She said after the auditions, the selected models will go through one-on-one interviews and the overall winner will be chosen from that stage.  “At the moment we are expecting 100 people but that can change because the audition will last for two days,” she said.

United States of America celebrity Rashgene Gazi-White will host the 9th Annual World Supermodel production and it will be broadcasted live on Go Indie TV.
