The other semi-final will see Orapa United battle army side, BDF XI in an equally mouth watering prospect.

The fans have, however, been denied a Rollers versus Chiefs final after the draw failed to separate the two giants who have brutally dominated the local scene in the recent past.

Reacting to the draw, Rollers spokesperson, Phempheretlhe Pheto told Mmegi Sport that they are ready for any team.

He said their encounter against Chiefs could be dubbed as ‘final before the final’. Pheto said sparks are expected to fly when they face their rivals and are expecting a huge crowd for the game.

“We took our players to South Africa for training as part of our preparations. We also worked on their psychological aspect. Our aim is to win this cup,” said Pheto.

Chiefs’ spokesperson, Clifford Mogomotsi said he could not complain about the draw as they had expected to face Rollers.

He said they are not expecting an easy encounter, but intend to reach the final. He said his side is in the process of recruiting more players to beef up the squad that will enable them to compete well in both the Mascom Top 8 cup and CAF Champions League. He said the idea is to give priority to all their games.

BDF XI representative, Thusang Jacob said they were also ready for any opponent. He said Orapa was a beatable side and they are ready for the clash. He admitted that BDF XI lost many players at the beginning of the season and started rebuilding.

“We are almost done with the exercise and you can tell from the way we play that we are doing something right,” said Jacob.

Orapa representative, Oarabile Modise said the draw had given supporters the team they wanted to face.  He said even if they lose the first leg, which is played away, they know that at home they are unstoppable. h the teams hopefully next week we will have finalised the transfers,” he added.
