Speaking to Showbiz, the pint-sized musician born Odirile Sento, was excited and said the song will be entirely produced by Maphorisa. The Taku Taku hitmaker said the video of the song is set for shooting next week.

“I will not reveal the name of the single as yet,” Vee said. “The song will be officially released by end of February.”

The Happy hitmaker, who three weeks ago welcomed his second child with wife, Kagiso Sento, said that by this move he is hoping to penetrate the South African music market and eventually go international.

“South Africa is big in terms of the industry, and I feel that our talent here in Botswana is not recognised as it should be,” he added. “The team I am working with, Maphorisa, Uhuru and DJ Buckz are amazing artists as well as businessmen. I am confident that this song will make history.”

Vee said that they officially launched the song some weeks ago at the African National Congress (ANC) rally in Rustenburg. The Botswana Musicians Awards winner (BOMU) also said that he would not be working on an album as yet because he was focusing his energy on singles.

He said other songs on the pipeline include the remix to a song he featured South Africa’s man of the moment Cassper Nyovest. The Shumaya singers trademark would compile the remix. The third single that Vee is working will feature Dr Tawanda, but said all details will be revealed once everything is complete.

Vee has been in the music industry for 13 years releasing hit album after another. He broke into the music scene with his hit song Pompa Tswiditswidi.

The dreadlocked artiste has managed to remain relevant over the years winning many accolades. Last year, he was nominated for the best Southern Africa male artist at the annual AFRIMMA awards held in Texas, United States of America.
