Mascom reaches out to BOSASNET

The NGO provides substance abuse education, prevention, and rehabilitation services to the general public. BOSASNET currently operates an outpatient counselling rehabilitation centre in Gaborone, which opened in September 2010.

The outpatient rehabilitation and support services constitute the Clinical Programme, which is overseen by the Clinical Programme manager and staffed with substance abuse and dependency trained counsellors.

Receiving financial support from Mascom last week, Mokgadi said the help was coming at an opportune time for BOSASNET to reach out to the vulnerable groups during the festive season which usually came with heightened substances abuse.

In their profile BOSASNET claim to have assisted clients with use, abuse, or dependency problems with alcohol, cocaine, crack cocaine, crystal meth, heroin, mandrax, nicotine , ecstasy, painkillers, marijuana, sleeping pills, cough syrup, and self-made concoctions.
