Another fun filled Maun experience in the offing

 

The organiser, Dose Mosimanyane says it will be a week of fun run, fun cycling, music festival headlined by Tshepo Tshola, comedy by the local Maun female comedian Rikunde and her brother Stix, as well as the experiences of boat cruises, scenic flights, game drives.

The ambassadors of this year’s My Maun Experience are sports legends Dipsy Selolwane and Nigel Amos, who will be also using their time to perform coaching clinics both at Nigel Amos’ home of Marobela on December 25, and in Maun on December 28.

Among the celebrities to grace the Maun sojourn are South Africa’s Thomas Mlambo of SuperSport and Boity. The past event had among others, Kaiser Chiefs manager Bobby Motaung.

Bissau Gaobakwe, the brains behind the concept said guests also have the chance to stay in chalets, which are also available to buy. He said that they have developed the chalets located around scenic views, to give Batswana the opportunity to own a piece of Maun.

Gaobakwe added that their partner hotel has discounted rooms at 50 per cent to enable Batswana to travel to Maun and have a good time.

My Maun Experience is entering its fifth year and the objective of cultivating interests among locals to tour and experience Maun, home to the Okavango delta, and some of the largest diversity of wildlife in the world.

Gaobakwe noted that ahead of the Maun events there would be a Champaign white party at the itowers on Friday where the magazine for this year’s activities will be launched, as well as the merchandise for My Maun Experience.

Another pre-party is scheduled for Palapye’s Majestic Hotel on December 23.
