Kast disses the BW Hottest MCs Top 10 list

The BW Hottest MCs Top 10, which was released last week was compiled by radio personality Mdu ‘Tha Party’ Madzwamuse and talent and music search agent Carnido Tshiamiso.
Drama Boi is slated as number one on the list followed by Scar, Epic, et al.
Due to frustration of not being picked on the list Kast decided to do it the Hip hop way and diss track titled The Warning. “I don’t have a problem with people on the list but I feel like I should have been there since I have been one of the most spoken about rappers this year and they didn’t include me on the list”.
He states that he is now sick and tired of people within the industry talking and undermining his rapping skills since he is a commercial rapper with some saying he is not a rapper.
“After that list I felt some type of way and went straight to the studio to work on this 32 bars diss track,” he says.
On The Warning, Kast brags about being one of the best rappers in the country while certain individuals hate on him. “I got more hits than everyone in the top 10,” he said in a line on the diss track.
He even calls himself 'King' on the track. There is an element of anger and feeling betrayed on the track. The song is available at a local online music store, Naomi Music. In his own words Kast says The Warning has the highest downloads on the online music store.
According to Tshiamiso, the BW Hottest MCs Top 10 list head compiler, Kast did not deserve to be on the list as he did not meet the standards.
'Basically we were looking at a number of elements for one to qualify for the top 10. He mentioned elements such as lyrical content, winning awards, corporate endorsements, album releases and international relations (collaborations).
“There wasn’t much activity this year in the local Hip hop industry so we decided to come up with something that will challenge rappers and game players,” said Tshiamiso.
Local international rapper Zeus is also absent on the list.
“Zeus did not do much this year also. Jam-For-Brunch and his AFRIMMA nominations were the only highlights from him this year”.
